Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Kin (kincalc.net), a Fortnite competitive analytics product.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service form the agreement between you and Kin ("Kin", "we", "us"), covering your use of the Service at kincalc.net. By using the Service or subscribing to a paid tier, you agree to these Terms.

2. What the Service is

Kin is a Fortnite competitive analytics product: tournament standings, a leaderboard, player profiles, and a drop calculator, built from Epic's own published competitive data. Kin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games, and does not claim to be an official source of Fortnite data.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Discord OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your Discord account secure; Kin is not responsible for activity on your Kin account that follows from a compromised Discord account. Optionally linking an Epic Games account is governed by the same rules.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Kin offers a free tier and paid tiers, billed through Stripe or, where offered, PayPal. Paid tiers renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. Canceling stops future renewal; access continues through the end of the period already paid for. Kin may change tiers, pricing, or what each tier includes with reasonable notice.

5. Disputes and chargebacks

Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback for a subscription period the Service actually provided access for, rather than contacting Kin first, can result in the related subscription being suspended and the account flagged while the dispute is reviewed. If you believe this happened in error, use the appeal process at /appeals.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: attempt to bypass account, payment, or access controls; scrape or systematically extract data from the Service outside of normal use; misrepresent your identity; or use the Service to harass or abuse other members of the community. Kin may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these Terms.

7. Accuracy of tournament data

Kin's standings, stats, and player data are built from Epic's published competitive results and are provided for informational and competitive-preparation purposes. Kin does not guarantee that this data is complete, current, or error-free, and it is not a substitute for any organizer's or platform's own official results.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kin is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these terms

Kin may update these Terms as the Service changes. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
